With TFN:Mini-Con® Manchester just around the corner, we thought we'd give you a quick tour of our venue, the Pendulum Hotel, in Manchester!

So please take a moment to sit back, look at our schedule and then check this guide to see where you'll be able to find everything!

Travel and Parking

Attendees travelling by train will find our venue conveniently placed in-between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Oxford Road stations. Whichever station you're arriving at; the venue is only about a 10 minute walk!

International attendees who are flying into Manchester Airport will be able to enjoy direct rail links to Manchester Piccadilly station. Whilst at the airport, look out for "The Station" which is your one-stop travel hub!

Attendees travelling by car will find detailed instructions on our location page.  Remember, Manchester has lots of one-way streets, so it will be worth using your sat-navs.

The venue does not presently have its own carpark, but there are lots of nearby options which we've listed on the same page for you. The hotel reception might even be able to provide a discount for some of the nearby NCP options.

Accessibility

The venue is wheelchair-friendly, but has a unique design we want to make you aware of before you arrive.

Upon entering the hotel, you'll see our registration desk and the hotel reception directly ahead of you.

Just beyond reception, you'll have two choices (please see image below).

If you go left, there are seven steps down to the event level.

Alternatively, if you go right and follow the red carpet around the balcony to the rear of the building, you can use the elevators instead. (The breakfast area is just next to these elevators, and you can also go up them to your bedrooms)

Once you have reached the lower foyer area, either using the steps or the elevator, you will find both of our convention halls are on the same level (with the panel room accessible via ramps).

The panel room also has wheelchair spaces in the front row.

Main Convention Areas

For this event we will be operating dual-main halls, with a variety of our guests, traders and forge artists in each hall.

We will provide a breakdown of where you can find everybody ahead of the event - but right now, let's just focus on showing you the rooms themselves.

Iacon Hall

(The Pioneer Room)

Kaon Hall

(The Pendulum Suite)

Panel Room

Finally, for our Panel Room we'll be using the venue's built-in facility known as the Cotton Theatre.

Bar / Restaurant

Between our two main halls, you'll also find The Garden Bar. With both indoor and outdoor seating, this is where you'll be able to head to find food and drinks at friendly prices!  (and of course, you could explore Manchester too!)

Venue Map

Once you've reached the convention level of the building, it should be fairly easy for you to navigate our halls. But until then, it might be a good idea to save this handy map on your phones, just in case!

Of course, there will also be lots of TFNation crew on hand to point you in the right direction!
