The original Generation 1 animated series is one of the most iconic pieces of Transformers media ever produced, but it could have turned out very differently! In early 1984, when work on the series was just beginning, Marvel Productions commissioned writer Jeffrey Scott to develop a totally original take on the Transformers franchise, including a series bible and a script for a pilot episode featuring a wildly different scenario and characters to the series we all know and love.
Fans have known of the existence of these documents for many years, but their contents have never seen the light of day… until now! Acquired straight from their author, TFNation is proud to bring you the full story of the Transformers cartoon that never was!
Transformers historians Jim Sorenson and Chris McFeely will introduce you to this alternate take on the Transformers and their world.
But that’s not all!
Jim and Chris’s introductory presentation will set the stage for this year’s TFNation script reading: a special pre-recorded full-cast performance of Scott’s pilot episode! TFNation has assembled a cast of voice talent from all across Transformers history to bring this lost adventure to life!
