"More Than Meets The Eye", the foundational piece of Transformers fiction, was a three-part cartoon which established the lore of the Transformers franchise forty years ago. The three episodes have been seen by generations of fans, and were recently re-released in cinemas as part of Hasbro's anniversary celebrations; but here at TFNation, we wanted to offer something a little different!
Utilizing unused audio from the original 1980s recording sessions, we've located some deleted scenes and placed them back into the show where they belong - but not just as storyboards. We've rebuilt and reconstructed scenes from existing sources, and created all-new animation where needed to marry it all together.
As a bonus, we've also tried to fix some of the more infamous animation and colouring errors present in the original shows! Finally, the three episodes have been edited together as one special presentation, as they were when first released in the UK on VHS as "Arrival From Cybertron".
With over 5 minutes of new or reconstructed material, covering more than 50 shots, this Saturday Night ClubCon segment promises to be More... Much More Than Meets The Eye!
