The next guest that TFNation 2019 is happy to introduce to all is a regular appearance at robotic conventions around the world: Transformers writer, archivist, historian, and super-fan Jim Sorenson!
Sorenson is a staple of the Transformers fandom and franchise, and has - as a fan - worked on Beast Wars trivia, including the alphabets used in the show, which he made into fonts later officially recognised and shared by Hasbro. Since then, he has compiled, collated, archived and brought together for major publications behind the scenes work on shows like the original Transformers cartoon, the Animated series, and Transformers: Prime. He has also contributed to fan fiction in the form of stories, articles, and comics for the Collectors' Club, and was behind the 'Ask Vector Prime' series on social media.
The most exciting part of Sorenson's presence this year is the launch of a new book: Transformers: A Visual History, due around Christmas 2019 from VIZ Media. This new art book - a 408 page celebration of 35 years of Transformers history, across all platforms - is intended to be the most comprehensive compilation of Transformers artwork ever assembled, featuring rare and iconic imagery pulled directly from Hasbro’s archives!
If you're thinking of getting something signed, you might want to consider purchasing some examples of Jim’s work from Amazon - please click the links below to see the individual listings;

Jim Sorenson will be attending the convention all weekend, chatting about Transformers Animated, obscure lore, archival knowledge, and wearing a variety of hats - literally! We look forward to welcoming him and all of you to TFNation 2019. Stay tuned for more updates!
