As we move towards the first TFN:Mini-Con® Reading, we'd like to post a little information for those TFNationals who require accommodation.
As the convention is a single-day event being held in the University of Reading's Great Hall, we imagine most attendees will enjoy the event (and of coure, socialising with other attendees in The Dairy) before heading home. For those attendees with a longer journey, however, there are lots of accommodation options in the area!
We've compiled a few below, based on (roughly) how close they are to the venue - for this list we've just concentrated on hotels, but there are apartment options available too if you'd like to look a little further!
PREMIER INN READING CENTRAL
The Premier Inn Reading Central is one of the nearest, most recognisable hotel chains. Approximately 12 minutes by foot, the hotel is near enough to pop back during the day, and has both breakfast and evening meal options available at the point of booking. This hotel is positioned towards the town centre, making it convenient for rail-users and those wanting to check out the Oracle shopping centre.
SURE HOTEL BY BEST WESTERN, READING
About 14 minutes walk across campus, the Sure Hotel By Best Western, Reading is another budget-friendly option. This hotel is found on the other side of the venue, so is perhaps better situated for drivers than railway users - though, a short taxi ride is always an option.
TRAVELODGE READING CENTRAL
The Travelodge Readng Central is a little further out at a 21 minute walk - however, it's position towards the town centre and train station makes it very convenient if you're coming that way anyway! Winner of a 2023 Trip Advisor traveller award, this venue is well-regarded and comes in very budget-friendly, particularly if you book a two or three person room.
HILTON READING
For attendees who might prefer a flavour of big TFNation, Hilton Reading is your option! This hotel is outside of comfortable walking distance, but a great choice for those driving or taking taxis. The hotel contains many of the staples of Hiltons, such as an on-site restaurant, fitness centre and indoor swimming pool. Don't forget to log into your Hilton Honors account!
