TFNation 2026 is gearing up to celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Transformers: The Movie in style! And that calls for a special event, staring a very special guest: please join us in welcoming, for his first ever convention appearance in the UK, Grammy and Golden Globe nominated composer, arranger, and keyboardist, Vince DiCola!
We don’t need to tell you how important Vince DiCola is to the Transformers franchise as a whole… but we’re going to regardless!
DiCola is of course, best known to Transformers fans as the talent behind the musical score for the fan-favourite 1986 animated movie.
His other Transformers-related musical contributions include the soundtracks to the Angry Birds: Transformers and Transformers: Devastation videogames. He has also released several thematically appropriate albums over the years, such as Lighting Their Darkest Hour.
Away from the robots in disguise, you may also recognise DiCola’s signature synths in Rocky IV (certified Platinum by the RIAA), Staying Alive and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan.

Falling Off A Clef
Of course, this exciting announcement also means one more thing: a live musical performance on the Saturday night of TFNation 2026!
Vince DiCola’s first ever live performance of his music in the UK will take place after our annual ClubCon segment. This will be an opportunity for fans to experience musical works from across DiCola’s entire career, amongst friends.
The live musical performance will be a separately ticketed event, limited by hall capacity – more details will be released soon.
Only Time Will Tell
Vince DiCola will be working to a limited panel and signing schedule to afford sufficient time for his live musical performance preparations. Likewise, we’ll be making a few tweaks to our tried and tested format, to accommodate what we are sure will be an incredible evening.
There will, of course, be a full Vince DiCola career panel on Sunday (which will again be subject to hall capacity).
