Just like Soundwave, we know many TFNationals love their pets. This year, however, we’ve received lots of messages from attendees about bringing animals to the convention, for various reasons.

Whilst the hotel we hold TFNation in is dog-friendly, this year we’ll be asking attendees not to bring pets into our event halls.

WHY THE NEW POLICY?

This year we’ve received lots of emails about pets – more than ever before. With TFN now being a large, busy event, we’ve taken time to think about whether it’s really a suitable environment for pets - particularly, our doggo friends.

The new policy has been put in place to;

  1. Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all attendees, including those with allergies or phobias.

  2. Protect attendees, guests and vendors from accidental damage or disruption.

  3. Comply with our evolving event insurance and liability requirements.

ASSISTANCE ANIMALS

Assistance Animals remain welcome at TFNation. We simply ask their human-friends to please contact us ahead of time, so we can register the animal on our entry system and provide you with a special TFN Assistance Animal Pass, where required.

Notification –  You can tell us about your Assistance Animal when purchasing your tickets, by using the Notes screen – or if you’ve already purchased your tickets, you can contact us at support@tfnation.com

Certification – You can either scan and email a copy of your Assistance Animal Registration to support@tfnation.com– or you can bring along a paper copy for us to see at the event. If your Assistance Animal isn't formally registered, don't worry - just drop us an email, and we'll ask a few verification questions to ensure you and your Assistance Animal will be able to access the convention easily.

EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS

Emotional Support Animals may be permitted in some instances and at our discretion, but we will need to obtain some additional information from you about the animal and its role.

HOTEL ACCESS

You are welcome to enjoy the public areas of the venue in-line with the hotel’s dog-friendly policy. When it comes to bedrooms, please liaise directly with the hotel for advice on the appropriate room type for you.

A WORD ON ANIMAL SAFETY

With their safety and wellbeing in mind, please refrain from leaving pets alone in your bedrooms (and of course, never leave them alone in a vehicle). TFNation takes place at a very warm time of year when it could be uncomfortable, or even dangerous, for pets to be left unaccompanied.

Thanks for taking the time to read this policy. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping the event safe and enjoyable for human attendees and animals alike.
