We have yet another comics guest joining this summer's TFNation 2020, one of the major planners behind the current IDW Transformers comics-verse: writer, novelist, and podcaster Brian Ruckley!

Ruckley is the current main wordsmith in the rebooted IDW Publishing Transformers narrative universe - starting last March - dealing with the reality of Cybertron before the war, looking into what made Megatron and Optimus Prime what we know them to be, and how a political movement can take sudden, darker turns. He is the creator of characters the likes of Termagax and Codexa, Geomotus and Rubble, and a bringer-back of fan favourites in slightly tweaked characterisations from other iterations.

Outside of comics, Ruckley has had his writing appear in British magazines such as Interzone, Black Static, and Lightspeed, with short stories of the speculative (think sci-fi, fantasy, horror) kind. He has also published a number of novels, such as The Godless World trilogy, and standalone works The Edinburgh Dead (2011) and The Free (2014); he runs the weird and wonderful nature-based podcast The Wild Episode.
