I am both a husband to an amazing wife and a father to two incredible boys.
In 2007 I was diagnosed with PTSD following a series of horrific incidents. As a coping and relaxing mechanism, I started collecting toys that reminded me of my childhood, putting my mind back in that safe place. As I collected more and more, I began filming and photographing them and drew inspiration from other members of the transformer community, starting to review them myself. Over the years, Benscollectables has grown both as a company and a family and even expanded to a second offshoot channel, BensKOllecables that focuses on crazy bootlegs. None of this would have been possible if it wasn't for the fandom supporting my content. To keep my channel going I adopted the guise of a toy fosterer, a collector that buys and reviews toys and then sells them on to buy new ones when the time comes. It's these same toys that you will find on my stall at TFNation.
